Well that was fun digging it up. I never got a goldfinch pic unfortunately. I select "weeds" I want to grow is my new strategy. I want to blend them in the landscaping. I have lived in Mesa, Casa Grande and now Gilbert. Every yard had them.

Totally recognize those, it's in the borage family. Thanks. I'll have to be more attentive watching for birds on them, we have a lot of lesser goldfinches in the area. I have 6 oz of Parry's penstemon seeds I pulled out of our yard & I am sharing them😊. DM me an address and I'll mail some if u like.
