Had to really hold my nose this time as my constituency is borderline between Tory and Lab; LDs far behind. Despise it when politicians do this hard-over ruling-out nonsense; completely unnecessary.
Of course there's also the transphobia in the Labour party, which stinks.
As many have said, and I agree with them, Rejoin will ultimately have to come from the centre right. That’s a shame, because that’s not where I am, but there we are. The sooner we kill the hard right, the sooner UK politics can reconfigure and get on with it. So bring on tomorrow’s bloodbath.
Well he's 60ish and most serious commentators on the subject that I've read seem to reckon it's a good 10-20 year project, so I'm not sure what the problem with this is.
Pretty much settling for “vote for us - you probably no longer agree with any of our policies but we’re not the Tories and that’s enough”. Inspiring and radical.
