I honestly believe it’s because they know it’s at risk of being regulated out of existence so they’re trying to imbed it into every level of society before that so it’s more difficult to ban / limit

Hmm, possibly, but big tech also sees AI as an arms race where there can only be one true winner. The same game is also playing out in various industries, E.g. banking, health, etc.
