Government Ministers are doubling down on Rishi Sunak’s completely rubbished claim about a £2,094 tax under a Labour Government
The hope is if they repeat it enough times we shall give up highlighting the outright dishonesty of the claim

Honestly it's just volume that wins, especially for an audience that want to believe it. Also can someone advocate tax hikes. 2p on basic 10p on top rate. Spend most of the money on stuff (NHS, all levels of education, armed forces, reversing underfunding of local government), and the rest on debt.

Of course they are. The objective truth or lack thereof is irrelevant, they just hope enough gullible people believe it. And experience of many previous lies has told them many will lap it up, so in modern Tory terms, that which is believed is "true".
