Something the left on here needs clearer thinking about is the nature of complicity and moral purity. There are some institutions where any participation would require apology. But the NYT isn’t one of them, and moral purity is overrated anyway: stop caring so much about your self conception.

Don’t be a snot and shame people for doing what they can in the context of their practical reality to make things better. The right gets the importance of integralism; we should too.
