This wasn’t my initial read of the line, in my head he was equating Drake with those who would have owned slaves (given the placement and context in the song) but also, KDot is well known for double/triple entendres. As a pasty white man though it’s for sure not my argument to make.

based on my own observation of this discourse, kendrick is saying that Drake, as a Canadian actor with a tenuous connection to American black culture, is acting as a colonizer would, using the culture for personal gain while never fully immersing himself in it.
