Catastrophic. The fact that most watchers and of course most of us who work on regulation knew this was coming doesn’t soften the blow a bit.
The modern administrative state is critical for health & social policy. Undermining it promises to worsen overall health and expand health inequalities.
So, presumably the EPA, FAA, etc. were able to do their jobs in some way prior to the Chevron decision in 1984. Is this sending us to a worse place than, say, they were in 1983, or is it just like a rollback to that era?
This is the very LAST thing we should be doing as climate change continues to accelerate and impact the planet. Future generations will not remember kindly the selfish actions of our wealthiest people.
