As far as the sentence goes, my expectation based on looking at a smattering of prior cases involving the same offense has been that he'd get substantial (2-5 year) probation plus significant (several hundred hour) community service.

In those cases did the defendant express remorse and contrition? Or were you able to find cases where the defendant was similarly, uh… flagrant with their disrespect for the court, rule of law, and were adamant that they had done nothing wrong?
