Kate Shaw’s good piece on Loper Bright highlights the cynicism of #SCOTUS repeatedly invoking democracy & “history and tradition” to build its own power.
The history of the Court (at least from the era most of the justices care about) is of a very weak judiciary. 🗃️

That's what I've been saying. Leo's first order of business was to get the "right people" on the bench. NOT brilliant jurists like Justice Jackson - but knee-jerk conservatives, who know how their bread's buttered. Now he can go about skewing the agenda in order to claw more powers toward the Court.
