Something crucial this mentions is the distance I felt between the writers I grew up admiring and me stuck somewhere on the other side of the river, toiling on a blogspot, hoping someone would respond to my e-mail, and The Classical arriving to ferry us across.

I never wrote for it but some of my dear friends did, awesome & brilliant writers about my age who I met online, and just knowing it was a place for us was such a comfort to me. I'm glad Colin wrote this.
