In 1951 Willie Mays used the $5,000 he got for making it to the World Series & bought a green Mercury. But he didn’t know how to drive, and neither did his dad, so two of his dad’s friends took Willie out to a baseball field back in Alabama & had him drive the infield, base to base spitting up dirt.
