This feels like they want to control their content for their own internal generative AI. I don't think this is a win for artists, but a move by corporations to gain control of an emerging technology. It's not the AI they have a problem with, it's the use of their content without permission.

I completely agree with every word of this. But at this point, anything that makes AI more expensive/less appealing to use is a step in the right direction
