Curious why you found the title off-putting? I can see that maybe it sounds like a challenge? In any case, "Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream" is one of his best short stories ever. If you're a fan, don't pass it up! 🙂

Too...non-title-y. Like he's winking. A title like Nightmares & Dreamscapes, or Night Shift, seems like a normal title. A title like You Like It Darker, or You Want To Read This, or This Is a Book, is too deliberate/quirky/meta/cutsie for my tastes.
