No. I’d prefer it just go away. I would be interested in the idea of a complementary currency that, through its use, helped contribute to environmental conservation and carbon drawdown. Bitcoin is designed to be the opposite of that unfortunately.

It is true that BTC mining can have a big impact on the environment. But the existence of a currency must have its value. Cryptocurrency is not just an investment model for mining. There are short-term options and long-term holdings as well as contract trading. Do you invest in cryptocurrencies?
