I'm not a woman but as an autistic person with severe social anxiety, I can say that a bear has never: 1. Beaten me up for being gay. 2. Pulled a gun on my dog. 3. Passed laws making me less safe. So as long as a bear is "over there" and not bothering me, I'd prefer a bear.
