So much of our "news" from the national cable channels down to local TV and the few papers left seem to be about chasing conspiracies, and then you don't notice as much when wealth is continuously funneled upward.

In NJ, the biggest secondary backers of the “dead whales are caused by wind power” group are beachfront property owners who fear their eyesight is so great that they can see 10-20 miles into the ocean horizon. The oil industry is the largest backer, maybe even helping to organize.
