Fantastic. I feel much the same way. Especially about the collapse of democracy. Wrote so just after the debate and have taken some heat for it. But it’s the right feeling to have because we are on a precipice right now.

Your article neatly captures the 'deficiency' in election debating right now - the purpose is to portray a candidate (whose policies will broadly assuage the same concerns as their opponent satisfies, and in a similar way) as the social Panacea, and as inoffensive as possible to anybody's politics.
