Walking in with my JHU branded tote bag on my shoulder also gets attention. Speak as much in technical terms as you can about your condition, as clinically & neutrally as possible (sometimes this is just impossible if you’re simply down bad, but, when poss) Cheap psychological tricks, but they help

Normally i often speak clinical and technical, to try to present the information as informatively as possible, but i have also been told that this makes the symptoms sound much lighter and less disruptive and end up diminishing myself - it is a tough balance to draw
