Good e.g. of why I told Asia New Zealand Foundation ‘22 hui that NZ’s visa regime is structurally racist, esp. against non-whites: Billionaires, whose criminal record is known, freely given PR. But in really tragic case of this Tongan family, the law, minister, & system are inflexible, & stentorian.

This family are right on the brink. The niece said she will need to give up her job as a Snr structural engineer to look after her uncle when Aunty is deported. Meanwhile, KDC as you mentioned by comparison, is down a CT rabbit hole having fights with my husband on messenger, still here in NZ.
