This is making circles online and furs fearing how it'll be represented in newsrooms across the country. To be fair, we have reasons to be concerned given back in 2014 when the chlorine gas attack happened at MFF the response by the media was a mixed bag and some were even offensive (Morning Joe).

A couple of things I've noted about this incident: 1. It happened in a hotel room and outside the convention... so I doubt any blame can be placed on the convention itself. 2. The attacker struck at their ex-girlfriend so there is likely personal motivation. 3. This may have been premeditated.
