I think the "Tories out / Starmer in" cartoon captures a lot. Much of the "Tories out" lot are now Reform, and some of the Labour lot on the left and centre-left held their noses at Starmer's and Reeves' policies and kicked the Tories - or SNP. Starmer will never win the hardcore Reform vote.

That's a good thing if he leans into getting the people on the left of politics back. I'm sure the shockingly small number of votes he got has a lot of people who'll happily vote against him given the chance.
