Every time some dude gets called out for having an abusive relationship w/ a younger woman, someone always pops up like “there’s nothing wrong with age gaps in consenting adults!!” And sure, fine, but if hes continually swapping out 20 y/os every few years there probably is some issue re: age

I also think it's dubious consent if in addition to the age gap there's an employer/celebrity status mudding the waters there.

And I say this as someone with a partner who is 12 years older than I am. Wanting to be with a particular person despite an age difference is very different than consistently actively seeking out someone much younger than you
