My sister - a person who does not cook and never has - decided that she needs to cook meals for her husband when she gets married, but is doing so by finding easy, quick, boring things she can cook. Why bother to do a thing you don’t like and do it poorly to not please someone out of obligation?

I’m so happy I’m not stuck with this dumb, heteronormative nonsense. Of course, I do cook for my partner, and he cooks for me, because we both enjoy it and like putting in effort to show we care.

It’s so silly… I pity the future partner (or hope he doesn’t care much for food)
