Okay. Someone in the comments already let me know. I was under the impression that it was permanent and my 'beef' was damaging a 5000 year old monument to make a point about climate change? But if it doesn't need to be chemically scrubbed off and got the attention it needed, I don't have an issue.

I see. Doesn't help that most every headline includes "vandalizes" and/or "paint". Far as I've noticed activists have planned all these protest acts - throwing soup at or sticking stuff on a painting (always behind glass), etc. - to be as harmless as they are eye-catching.
