This is an interesting article, and the quote is spot-on; I often found myself biting my tongue in the early years of the pandemic when I witnessed conversations bemoaning zoom or whatever while I was trying to communicate safety precautions to an elderly Brazilian instacart shopper.

My cousin summed up the early pandemic: "There were no lockdowns. There was poor people bringing middle-class people their stuff."

I’d like to read more work on retail workplaces trying to make themselves more universally accommodating; while I think Costco is good in a lot of areas, I’m not so confident in that one.
