Yeah my best times in middle/high school were in a birding club. And being in a birding club as a 12 year old in the 00s guaranteed the rest of school wasn’t great

Sympathies. My high school experience was fine -- and the math team helped a lot -- but I had my hell years in middle school and can certainly imagine them taking place in high school instead.
