Sadists I would say. I'm fairly certain the people who vote republican don't expect to be hurt by their policies. They want others to suffer.

Not half, closer to 1/3rd, and I feel like calling them masochists would be an insult to masochists lol. I grew up in a family of southern baptists, I heard the preacher wail about how gays are "destroying the family". There are layers to it, but at its' core they "want things back to normal".
