I really want to know why *normal* CPS wasn't checking up on Harry, tbh. A well off or wealthy family has one kid with all new clothes and the other one is in shitty rags with broken glasses and clearly underfed, seems deeply sus.

Also do wizards even have a CPS equivalent? The government seems very hands off except in keeping kids from using magic and policing magical secrecy.
