1️⃣DMM vs Lacquer: I'm learning differences slowly; it's becoming obvious why these new reissues are '2x LPs'; always thought was a gimmick to upcharge, but it has to do w/ cutting. For depth & bass they have to cut a wider groove as they can't cut deep into copper like the could w/ lacquer. CONT..

I always wondered why so many ~45min albums are 2xLP these days. I assumed it was engineers brought up on digital assuming that 20 mins/side was a hard time limit, but DMM needing a wider groove makes more sense. Thanks!
