People would benefit more from actual relationships with each other, rather then a distant intermediary. The wrath or mercy is ours to distribute, gods have nothing to do with it.

I don’t know that any individual has an actual relationship with a God. I’ve only ever seen relationships with supposed intermediaries such as family, community, or 12 step programs.
