I’m probably closer to 35,000 and don’t really think much of it. They are arranged by date and month and these days easier to find with metadata and facial recognition.

There's nothing *wrong* with it ... I'm more interested in what keeping such a large number of photos means for people. Any and all reasons are legitimate! It seems likely there are 10s of thousands of photos stored that we'll never look at and what does that mean?
