when half the (cowardly! you're right about this) mainstream democratic apparatus thinks the nominee should drop out i do think one should adjust one's priors re: the fit from past debate data. this is sui generis. probably still not as impactful as folks think! but I wouldn't be confident

Wow, I've never seen Dem wonks loudly freak out before. They always have such confidence and great message discipline. Never any backstabbing or jockeying for position either.
