About two decades ago I used a different name than what I do now, an homage to something I still hold very dear. I did and said things under that name that sullied it, and I discarded it entirely. A few years later I joined an entirely different community, and chose a different name./

I chose something that seemed more like a fitting reflection of myself... that also happened to be the name of a character from a video game I was obsessed with. "Talisman". Fortune to some, catastrophe for others. Eventually it got shortened to "Tali". And for the last 15 years it's stuck.
