Taking this from another angle, if a president as delineated requires substantial immunity to do their job, the existence of such a job in a government framework is inherently flawed and should be weakened or abolished. Unfortunately, the mythology of constitutional infallibility stands in the way.

Too often people simply assume that the failure in a thing is in its execution, not reflecting on its flawed fundamental structure, and we need to stop assuming that. It may simply be that the 'Founding Fathers' screwed up even more profoundly than we accept, is what I'm suggesting.
