Well, yes, we are a democracy again now. But Hitler ended millions of lives *forever*, and it took a world war (that took even more lives) to end his dictatorship. Trump's nationalist theocracy may also only last a couple of years. But what will it take to end it? Another civil war?

It would be horrible. Like I said, there are plenty examples of truly terrible political situations, a number of which have cost millions of lives (including Hitler). So we should be able to do without the nightmare fantasy of a thing that ends history entirely.
