I honestly wish less things on the internet were paid for by ads, but I also know how much running anyone on the internet can just use costs.

i don't mind ads if they weren't so obnoxiously intrusive, but ad companies refused to just stay passive. They wanted popups, popovers, goofy slides you can't click passed, every trick they can manage to make sure the ad is more prominent than the content.
