I will always call this a horror film and a great one. I love how it starts as a fun exciting romp before slowly changing genres into something genuinely moody and sinister.

The wild change in tone from big action movie at the beginning with cheesy one liners (Stick Around) towards more horror/action is still one of the most fascinating tonal shifts in a move I've seen. It could have gone poorly so easily, but it didn't.
