So, Hubs is very cool & a snappy dresser, social and outgoing. Very visible & loved around town I am not. So, sometimes, people don’t uhhh… when they meet me, they’re expecting someone else to match his vibes. I got “well, I mean, you’re very plain Jane”’d and I am just I get it but like, ouch.

This is something that’s like, been a thing for awhile, esp in Kink spaces and after while it just kinda grinds ya know? Also a reason I feel too… not Queer enough to go to Pride. I’m def gonna have ppl who expect queer folks to look a certain way think im either just an ally or someone’s Mom 😭😰

I'm like that to my husband too. He goes to all the cons and meets and Pride and stuff, and dresses nicely, and presents as LGBT/kinky, and I just kinda wanna hide. Like, I love him and want to be with him, but I can't handle social events. Literally cannot function.
