It absolutely implies it. Why else would they choose that name? At the very least, those of us familiar with the original story will infer that it would be an adaptation of the comic.

I'm thinking about "Age of Ultron," "Infinity War," "Civil War"–instances where an MCU project took the name of a comic storyline but did not adapt the narrative beyond some token elements. But yes, I can see why one might see the title and assume a closer connection.
