The capacity of hounds to stress shed is incredible — when my beagle mix was in a Situation, it was like she was actively shooting the hair off her body (cartoon-porcupine-style). Very fun in the car 🙃

Word from the vet has come down—Hound’s got hip dysplasia in the right hip. The X-rays are pretty gnarly, and she must have been in pain for a while. Not sure if she’s stoic or just too dim to notice. Anyway, a monthly shot of Librela and she will hopefully feel like her old self again!

Our G.Shep had hip issues as he got older. We consulted with a canine physical therapist who gave us a bunch of exercises for us to work on with him. It made an amazing difference, and definitely bought us 1+ years of quality life. Go figure, exercise is important when you get old, even for dogs.
