I suspect this guy is a good speaker, because there was just a quiet ripple of amusement, which is the local equivalent of loud laughter.

Was this the variety of talk that shared the hope for a fabled Island of Stability somewhere far across that sea? Because that idea is really cool. I want to believe! (Also, yeah, Lise Meitner was awesome, and was 100% unjustly snubbed.)
