When I was a kid one of the messages of Catholicism, a very core message they hammered home was that sin wasn't just what you had done, but what you had failed to do. That I liked and kept. Even in the Act of Contrition.

Long lapsed Anglican (Catholics who never learned Latin) but yeah, inaction was as much of a sin as action depending on the circumstances. For me, Spider-Man's ethos is the most significant in comics. Imagine a world in which we followed that as a whole.
