I also think an uncomfortable truth we're all going to face is that a lot of people are just fine with fascism, provided their lives don't change too much. And in fact some secretly welcome it thinking they'll benefit or if not the 'right' ppl will suffer.

It’s mostly only those who feel the pain of the policy that protest loudly & in numbers against it change only happens when people know someone personally going through the struggles, or when the brutality against protesters becomes too much to bear for the average nonengaged person
