can't breathe, etc. And it's rarely calculated. Like they may not think they're faking an asthma attack, or a fall, etc. Or they may on some level know that, but it's not a 'haha I am fooling them' it's 'now I can express...' It's a childish behavior by which I mean, children often do this.

Because they can't emotionally regulate, or because they cannot express their big feels appropriately or they've engaged in learned helplessness in some form. In an adult, it requires therapy because the adult NEEDS those things and ...isn't getting it. They need to work in therapy to both remove
