Neither Ralph Nader nor Ross Perot nor John Anderson got any electoral votes, and Jill Stein's no Ralph Nader (but fortunately, no Ross Perot either.) The last third-party electoral vote went to the Libertarians in 1972 (from a Republican who hated Nixon), and 1968 George Wallace got 46.

Please stop giving "270 discourse" oxygen. Yeah, I know that Republicans, Democrats, and thus some debates want that to be inferred as a requirement. Please help remind how low the needed count may be this time. I think 40 will cover the spread. Contingent election was 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 how this happens.
