I don't think there are rules about them? It's more aero to combine hands with face one single high-pressure point cutting the air I guess.

3:1 rule is gone so that opened up positioning, and numbers say that too aero a position=lower power numbers. Plus today's TTbikes are slipperier than just a couple years ago
