Back in the 80's a mentor/boss who I'm still in touch with - great guy - but thought one of his direct reports (Bob) was looking. So my friend placed a tombstone job ad in the local paper, and Bob applied to it. For 40 years I've heard the story. The guy eventually left, he was not great.

But back then, it was different. A job posting in a newspaper took effort, and there was a specific set of requirements to run that particular facility (think both education and regulatory). Also it was a hard to hire area, a tertiary market.
