They gotta stop reporting climate apocalypse dates based on the model where we all stop burning fossil fuels tomorrow because we really don't have many decades left based on our current trajectory and I may be generous making decade plural

Like the rapid ascent of fascism into state power is worrisome from a historical perspective, but I'm not sure it will matter much in a few years when supply chains are breaking down and clean water is controlled by a hodgepodge of regional warlords
