I'm gonna be real here, in America the tendency when a group's patriarch is exposed for crimes of this nature is to immediately unsee it and attempt to forget there was ever anything to unsee. This is societal rot deeper than our system of government.

This is part of the rot that explains why we have the government we do. Too many of the people themselves have corrupted hearts in thrall of genuine evil, and a belief in hierarchy and obedience which supplants any other conception of morality. If the GOP vanished tomorrow, they'd make a new GOP.
