The Clinton name was a curse in my home community because NAFTA fucked us worse than the Midwest. Hillary could have been Jesus’ Holier Sister, and that would have still been true. Democrats have never reckoned with that anger.

I do think that Democrats overlook very influential micro-communities in their base, while the GOP strategically gets the most squeeze they can from them. And they also overlook huge parts of their base in the way Black voters are treated.
